At the interview, an officer reviews your N-400 and may test English and civics.

The interview is in person. A USCIS officer will ask about your application. The officer wants to know if the answers are still true. Bring the interview notice. Bring your green card. Bring your passport if you have one. Bring the papers the notice tells you to bring. The officer may test your English. The officer may test civics. Speak slowly. Tell the truth. If you do not understand, say Can you please repeat? If you fail a test the first time, USCIS may give you another chance. Do not panic and pay a stranger in the parking lot.
